Facebook Social Shopping: A New Trend In E-commerce
Convenience Of Online Shopping
Shopping online is becoming a new trend in the retail industry. It is a convenient way to make purchases without leaving the convenience of your computer, especially during Christmas rush. It is saving time and effort to go around malls full of people and being spared from sweating when looking for the things you wanted to buy, which once you get, you’ll have to wait for on queues to the counter to pay for it. It is being saved from the stressful carrying of the bulky goods going home.
Online Shopping On Facebook
Apparently, the social networking site has not only been a place to reconnect with old friends but a market place too. E-commerce has finally found its way to the social media platform. Facebook being the largest social site has become a major dynamic location to publish advertisements and promotions. The mass population on Facebook is a perfect market for retail brands to sell their merchandise. There are individual merchants who created their own profiles to advertise goods. They are your friends who want to earn extra income online. They will tag pictures of items they want to sell online. Aside from that, preferred brands had also extended their marketing campaigns on social sites. There you will see tiny buttons of those companies, that keep you abreast of product reviews and promotions, percolating you to the retailer’s online store. The Facebook fan page lets you endorse products to your peers by clicking “like” signs that state your affinity. In time, this creates a niche of loyal advocates patronizing a particular store and recommending it to their friends. This infects enthusiasm to attract more customers based on friend recommendations, a new breed of e-commerce, otherwise known as social shopping. So it seems like making a purchase online that won’t make you leave your social playground. Many people now are embracing the concept of collaborated social networking and shopping. It is no longer a surprise that e-commerce will continue to leverage its way to any social interface like Facebook.
